Rare and exquisite variety, often considered the crown jewel of the estate. These delicate buds and leaves are carefully hand-picked and processed, resulting in long wiry golden buds and few coppery leaves. The infusion reveals fruity and honey notes, with a hint of muscatel sweetness; fragrant bouquet of fresh flowers and ripe fruits.

About Gopaldhara Estate

Among the highest planted ground in Darjeeling, on slopes running up toward the Nepal border. Cold Himalayan streams cut through the sections, and cloud sits on the garden for much of the growing season. Thin air and low temperatures slow the bush down, which is what concentrates the leaf.
ProductionOrthodox throughout, with the high sections picked in small lots and kept separate. The late-season pickings from the upper gardens are the estate's signature, and are made in quantities small enough that a good lot sells out in a season.
